Beat the Heat With This Cool Summer Treat: How to Make Frozen Lemonade At Home

Stay cool this summer by whipping up this classic Chick-fil-A-inspired treat, made with three simple ingredients: lemon sherbet, lemonade, and ice!

When your sweet tooth is kicking in, the last thing you want to do in the summer is turn on the oven to make some tasty treats. That’s why I love recipes that are easy to whip up without the oven and will cool you down.

If you’re a frozen lemonade lover like me (I love getting the frozen lemonade from Chick-fil-A!), you’re going to love this version that you can easily make at home and will satisfy that summer sweet tooth.

Light and refreshing, my homemade Frozen Lemonade is the perfect summer treat. Only requiring three ingredients (that’s right—only three!), you can quickly blend up this delicious dessert. Kids and adults alike will enjoy sipping this refreshingly cool drink to beat the heat all summer long!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• 1 cup of lemon sherbet (or sorbet)
• 1 cup of ice
• 1/2 cup of lemonade
• Blender
• Measuring cups

Here’s How to Make Your Own Frozen Lemonade:

Start by measuring out all of your ingredients.

Measure 1 cup of ice and place it in a bowl for convenient pouring into the blender. Next, measure out 1 cup of lemon sherbet. The sherbet makes it creamier since it contains dairy, but you can easily swap the sherbet out for sorbet if you want to keep your Frozen Lemonade dairy-free. Lastly, measure 1/2 cup of lemonade. I prefer the Minute Maid Zero Sugar lemonade since it’s not as sweet, but you can use any brand of lemonade you like.

This recipe only makes for one 12 ounce glass or serving, so increase the amount of each ingredient by how many servings you are looking to make.

Pour all of your ingredients—the ice, lemon sherbet, and lemonade—into the blender.

Blend all of the ingredients until smooth.

Serve immediately in a fun glass or freeze it for 30 minutes to eat it with a spoon.
