These Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks are the perfect quick and easy sweet treat for spring! Each bite has the perfect amount of crunch within a layer of silky chocolate — plus they are so cute!
Now that spring is in full bloom, I’m so happy to be creating some fun and easy spring treat recipes. One of my favorite treats to make are chocolate-dipped Oreos (yes to chocolate and Oreos!), so I thought I would give them a cute spring twist and came up with these Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks!

Crunchy from the fresh, crisp Oreo cookie and sweet with the luscious chocolate coating, these Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks are absolutely delicious! They’re a great way to get that chocolatey fix but still have a light dessert.
These Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks take hardly any time at all to whip up and make for such a fun spring treat. For my Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks, I used Oreo Thins because I prefer the thinner cookie, but you could easily use the traditional Oreos or any other variety of Oreos. The lemon or carrot cake flavors would also be fun for spring! You could also have fun with the chocolate coating and choose an exciting flavor there as well! I actually found some lemon-flavored yellow chocolate wafers (which I used!) and they paired so well with the chocolate Oreo cookies.

Read on below to learn how to make some Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Oreos (whichever flavor you’d like!)
- Yellow, orange, and brown/black chocolate wafers
- Microwave-safe bowls/candy melt pot or fondue pot
- Baking sheet with parchment paper
- Fork(s)
- Plastic sandwich bags (to pipe with)

Here How to Make Your Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Chicks:
Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment. Place a dozen Oreos on the baking sheet for easy assembly.
Next, melt two cups of yellow-colored chocolate wafers (I found some lemon-flavored ones that go really well with the Oreos!). You can either melt them in a microwave-safe bowl at 15- to 30-second intervals until completely melted or in a chocolate melting pot (or a fondue pot) like I did.

Using a fork or two, dip an Oreo into the melted wafers, fully submerging it, then carefully lift it out and gently shake the cookie on the fork to remove excess chocolate. Delicately place the chocolate-dipped Oreo onto the parchment-lined baking sheet by slightly tipping the fork.

Keep dipping the cookies until all of them are covered in chocolate.
Once all the cookies are dipped, place the baking tray in the refrigerator for the chocolate to set.

Afterwards, melt 1/2 cup of orange-colored chocolate wafers and 1/2 cup of brown/black wafers in microwave-safe bowls at 15- to 30-second intervals.

When both bowls of chocolate wafers are fully melted, spoon the chocolate into separate plastic sandwich bags. These sandwich bags will be used as piping bags. With a pair of scissors, cut a small hole at one of the tips at the bottom of the bag.

With the brown/black wafers piping bag, pipe two small eyes into each cookie. With the orange wafers piping bag, pipe a small upside-down triangle for the chick’s nose, filling it in with the melted chocolate.

Once all 12 cookies have their faces, allow them to set completely in the refrigerator once more.
When the chocolate has set, they are ready to enjoy!

Aren’t they the cutest little cookies for spring?! And they were so easy to make!
